About Trinity Lutheran Church

Trinity Lutheran Church is an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) congregation in Findlay, Ohio, and we’ve been a part of this community for generations. We’re one of three local ELCA churches in the Findlay area, and together with our sister congregations, we support schools, universities, and community organizations throughout the region. The people who built this congregation left behind something worth honoring. We’re committed to carrying that legacy forward while continuing to grow, serve, and adapt to the needs of the community we love.

OUR MISSION

Welcome & Equip All God’s Children to Grow & Serve

That one sentence drives everything we do. It’s the reason our ministries exist, the reason we show up on Sunday mornings, and the reason we stay invested in this community week after week.
We believe faith is meant to be lived out in community, in daily life, in acts of service, and in every person we welcome through these doors. Trinity exists to help people do exactly that.

OUR VALUES

Four values. One mission.

At the heart of our ministry are four core values, organized around the letters of ELCA. Together, they describe how we show up as a congregation and as individuals.

God forms faith in each of us, regardless of our age, background, or where we are in our spiritual journey. Through worship, the sacraments, and meaningful opportunities for service, we equip one another to share God’s love and live as disciples in our daily lives.

“Equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”

In all of our relationships, we let the love of Jesus guide our words and actions. That means offering acceptance, empathy, forgiveness, and encouragement to everyone we meet, inside the congregation and out. We welcome people the same way Jesus has welcomed us: without condition.

We are called to carry our faith out of the doors of the church and into the lives of the people around us. Connection at Trinity isn’t about hard-selling faith. It’s about being genuinely present with people and introducing them to Jesus through the way we live.

We trust God’s Spirit to lead us forward, even into uncertain territory. Things cannot grow without change, and we’re committed to adapting as the needs of our congregation and community evolve. We spend time in prayer, scripture, and conversation to discern where God is calling us next.

Trinity Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), one of the largest Lutheran denominations in the United States. We are part of the Northwest Ohio Synod, which connects us with Lutheran congregations and ministries throughout our region. The ELCA is a welcoming, broad expression of Lutheran Christianity, rooted in scripture and the tradition of the Reformation.
